The Summer Shows have been generously supported by sponsorship from local business, enabling us to give the children a wonderfully rich experience and our audiences a real treat! Our Sponsorship support goes towards show costumes and the printing of publicity and programmes for the event.

Costumes inspire performance and make for an exciting visual spectacle, but also give the children experience of costume change and a taste of what it feels like to be part of a professional dance company, with all the discipline this involves.

With each successive performance the YDC has raised the bar, astonishing and delighting audiences with the level of talent and ability our students demonstrate. This goes far beyond the learning of a "routine" - embracing musicality, stagecraft, teamwork, and developing confidence and self-esteem as well as the more obvious dance requirements of strength, fitness, stamina, co-ordination and timing.
